These two are all about taking chances. The first time they met, Brennan (a marathon runner) asked Israel (not a marathon runner) to join him for a run. Israel agreed and perhaps inadvertently found himself shortly after on an 8-mile run. In the rain. A few months later, they moved in together. Not much later, Israel was offered a job in Austin, and with enthusiastic support from Brennan, they moved from Dallas. At the end of 2020, Israel asked Brennan to marry him, and the answer was an enthusiastic 'Yes!'
Their wedding was held at Springdale Station in East Austin, transforming the dining room into a lush indoor garden. Complementing the vibe, the couple wore stylish royal blue and terracotta suits from Soto & Co., with western boots from Tecovas.
The day was a true reflection of them. One of the day's sweetest moments was Brennan surprising Israel with a mariachi band that played during cocktail hour. On account of Israel's work, it was fundamental that their guests ate and drank well, they served their favorite spirits, and had catering from Austin Catering. During a toast, they passed Israel's preferred digestive, Underberg, which delighted many guests with its licoricey and clove-filled profile.
On their perfectly curated day, other personal flourishes were the Game of Thrones decorated cake (thanks to Brennan), Lick Ice Cream, and late-night sliders and tater tots. It goes without saying, their wedding was a big hit with the foodies.
