Shout out to eloping. To keeping things simple, to staying true to yourselves, to including your dogs, and venturing to places important to yourselves. That was what this elopement at Enchanted Rock was all about.
It was one of those rare days where the fog held in the sky, giving the landscape a muted palette. Where the pink granite mountain north of Fredericksburg disappeared in the fog and the true height of it was unknown until you began to hike the trail to the dome.
After a brief ceremony at the base of the mountain, witnessed by their dogs, the three of us walked to the peak. It was about quiet moments and natural portraits, of honoring their desire for a simple yet meaningful day.
I adored photographing this couple amongst the stark rocky areas and the deserty brambles that are a hallmark of central Texas.
Cheers! (with an inscribed hiking flask naturally) to eloping.
