Jane Austen plays a pivotal role in Sarah and Andrew’s wedding day. Pride and Prejudice is one of Sarah favorite novels, and Hale Farms and Village definitely reminds one of where Eliza Bennet could meet Mr. Darcy. Jonathan Hale built this historic homestead in 1825, right in the center of Cuyahoga Valley National Park, Ohio. They have kept true to that old world, with you being surrounded by endless nature while walking past a blacksmith.
Sarah and her sisters got ready at their family home, remembering all the memories they shared growing up. While on the way to the first look, Sarah says her trek resembled a Jane Austen walking montage.
The ceremony was held in a quaint white chapel. Sarah walked herself down the aisle, joined by Andrew halfway. After the ceremony, the guests regaled the newlyweds with lavender.
The rest of the evening was spent retelling how their love story, Sarah’s love of literature, Andrew’s proficiency in photography and lots of laughter in between.
