I so enjoy a couple that is down for a drive to an engagement photography location all their own in the Texas Hill Country – with river backdrops and a canyon to explore. Enter, Lauren, Zach, and their dogs Tripp and Betsy. We met at the trailhead, not knowing what to expect when we transversed through the gorge, and when we came across a cave with such moody light and palpable texture, I was in heaven. I never knew such caverns existed near Austin, with colors that beautifully matched the couple’s impeccable style.
We soon arrived at a rocky beach next to the Pedernales River, where we celebrated with champagne, plenty of laughs, and treats for the dogs. For sessions that include your pups, I would suggest bringing an extra set of hands to take the pups when you need some moments alone (thanks for being the MVP Savannah). I am looking forward to their wedding and their session in Banff National Park.
